About Tay Grin
Tay Grin, born Limbani Kalilani on June 15, 1984, is a Malawian hip hop artist. He is one of the most popular and successful musicians in Malawi, and has won numerous awards, including a Black Entertainment Film Fashion Television and Arts (BEFFTA) award for Best International African Act.
Grin grew up listening to American hip hop artists such as Jay-Z and KRS-One, and began rapping himself at a young age. He released his debut album, “Tay Grin”, in 2008, and quickly rose to fame with his catchy melodies and energetic live performances.
Grin’s music is a mix of hip hop, R&B, and traditional Malawian music. He is known for his songs about love, relationships, and Malawian culture. Some of his most popular songs include “Chipapapa”, “Nyau King”, and “Tili ndi Malawi”.
In addition to his music career, Grin is also a successful businessman. He owns an entertainment and event promotion company called Black Rhino Entertainment. He is also involved in a number of other business ventures, including fashion and hospitality.
