Ebola outbreak highlights Africa's under serviced healthcare market
It's not really rocket science that a healthy continent would be a wealthy one; people with better health are more productive and contribute to the economy. Little wonder then that healthcare is a pertinent issue globally. But in Africa the recent Ebola outbreak has put the continent’s healthcare system in the spotlight. With aid coming in from the West to contain the spread of the virus, it conjures up those stereotypical images of dark and diseased Africa. But from an investment point of view this outbreak has highlighted a severely under serviced healthcare market on the continent.
